Hankyu Hanshin Express USA Expands Los Angeles Warehouse to Strengthen Logistics Operations

HANKYU HANSHIN EXPRESS (USA) INC. expanded its warehouse capacity at its Los Angeles Branch on October 1, 2024, by leasing adjacent space within the same facility, doubling its warehouse space. The expansion increased the facility's total warehouse area to 99,847 square feet, making it the largest warehouse operated by the company in the United States.

Located in Carson, California, the warehouse is approximately 25 minutes by car from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and 20 minutes by car from the Port of Long Beach, one of the busiest ports on the U.S. West Coast. The facility serves as an important logistics and supply chain hub for the region.

Since relocating to the site in 2004, the Los Angeles Branch has expanded its logistics business through services including CFS cross-docking, bonded warehousing, inventory management, inspection, rack management, picking, repacking, labeling, distribution, and comprehensive 3PL solutions.

Driven by continuous improvements in operational efficiency and service quality, the warehouse has earned a strong reputation among customers, with a growing number of new business inquiries generated through customer referrals. To meet growing demand and support future business growth, the expansion significantly enhances storage capacity, including newly installed five-tier pallet racks with space for approximately 1,400 pallets. The new logistics area is expected to commence full-scale operations shortly.
