Held Diversity Forum in 2019
In September 2019, we held the 5th Diversity Forum in Tokyo. The theme at this time was ‘Telework’, participants acknowledged various working styles through the result of internal surveys against all the employees and through the panel discussion leaded by 2-employees who are keeping a good balance of Work and Family.
We comprehend ‘Telework’ as a choice for the employees which aims to provide flexible and diversified working styles and to improve working environment for diverse human resources.
Held Diversity Forum in 2017
In September 2017, we held the fourth Diversity Forum at Tokyo and Osaka. The theme on this occasion was encouraging the employment of people with disabilities. Under this theme, a special subsidiary company of the Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Group named “Assist Hankyu Hanshin Co., Ltd.” which aim is the employment of people with disabilities within the Group gave lectures. Also, discussions were held regarding the establishment of a working environment in which diverse human resources could give full play to their own abilities.
Held Diversity Forum in 2014・2015
We position diversity promotion as an essential human resource management strategy. In 2014 and 2015, we held the "Diversity Forum". The events on that day were composed of two parts. For the first part, we invited a specialized lecture from outside of the company and had her give a lecture. The attendants gained a renewed understanding of the necessity of diversity management in this global era and of the issues and measures to the activity promotion of women. For the second part, a group discussion was held among the participating employees. The current situation and issues regarding employees' career plans and working styles were discussed, and solutions were considered.
1st Hankyu Hanshin Express Women's Forum
As a part of our efforts to enhance diversity, the first Hankyu Hanshin Express Women's Forum (H2WF) was held on November 4, 2011. Approximately 120 employees attended the forum during which Hankyu Hanshin Express made an official declaration that the company will strategically encourage greater participation of female employees throughout all levels of the organization. The forum also provided women with a venue to discuss means by which to create opportunities to utilize their skills and to change perceptions. During the first session, the forum heard a female leader of a global corporation speak on her experiences and thoughts on the means of encouraging greater female participation. The first session was followed by a panel discussion of female Hankyu Hanshin Express employees, including some posted overseas. The panelists engaged in lively discussion on the issues currently faced by Hankyu Hanshin Express and discussed the company's direction.
