Hankyu Hanshin Express Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that six customs specialists from its East and West Japan Customs Departments have been officially certified as "EPA Tariff Certified Advisor" by the Japan Customs Brokers Association.

The six certified specialists represent the highest number among the 60 companies whose employees received this certification.

To support the effective use of Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs), Hankyu Hanshin Express has established a dedicated consulting team known as the "Customs Think Tank" composed of professionals with advanced expertise in customs procedures and EPA-related regulations. This team provides high-level consulting services to customers seeking to maximize the benefits of EPA utilization.

With this latest certification, we will further strengthen our internal expertise and support framework, ensuring customers to utilize EPAs with greater confidence and efficiency.

About the EPA Tariff Certified Advisor Training Program
With the implementation of major trade agreements such as CPTPP and RCEP, approximately 80% of Japan's trade is now conducted with EPA partner countries. As a result, both the need for specialized knowledge--such as rules of origin and tariff classification--and the demand for support from customs professionals continue to grow.
In response to this increasing demand, the Japan Customs Brokers Association launched the EPA Tariff Certified Advisor Training Program in 2025. Under this program, customs specialists who completed designated training and meet specific qualification requirements are certified as EPA Tariff Certified Advisors.
